Ali Hēdonē

Somatic Sexologist & Holistic Sex Therapist

Ali is a certified Somatic Sexologist, Holistic Sex Therapist and Trauma-informed womb Massage Therapist. Originally from France, she has been based in Sydney, Australia, since 2019. She first met Alice, founder of Bedrock, while training together in Somatic Sexology, where they quickly bonded over a shared love for all things body and sexuality, and a mutual dedication to trauma-informed, client-led care.

Ali is also deeply connected to mindfulness practice, which she has explored through her study in tantric sexuality, somatic movement, womb massage, and holistic sexual wellness. She works holistically, considering body, mind, emotions, and nervous system as one interconnected whole, blending modern teaching with ancient lineage to bring embodied depth to her sessions.

Through conversational inquiry, sex education, somatic awareness practices, mindfulness, and pattern recognition, Ali helps clients explore how their physiology and psychology shape their relationship to their sexuality today. She guides them to expand their erotic intelligence, rebuild confidence in their body, and deepen their natural capacity for intimacy and authentic connection.

Ali came to this work through her own searching, after years of feeling completely disconnected from her body and her pleasure, until she found the practices and teachings that brought her back to herself. It gives her a deep compassion for what clients bring into the room, and a personal understanding of how transformative this work can be when held with care.

Daniela Cristofaro

Somatic Psychotherapist, Somatic Sexologist and Trauma Therapist

Daniela Cristofaro (she/her) is a Somatic Psychotherapist, Sexologist and Trauma Therapist. She holds a Master of Counselling, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology, a Certificate in Sexological Bodywork, and is trained in Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy and Somatic Sexology.

Daniela’s work is grounded in the understanding that many emotional struggles, relationship patterns and ways of coping are adaptations to our life experiences. Through mindful, body-centred psychotherapy, she helps clients gently explore the deeper beliefs and embodied patterns shaping their reactions, relationships and sense of self. Rather than viewing protective responses as something wrong, Daniela approaches them with curiosity and compassion. She supports clients to develop greater safety, regulation, self-understanding and choice, creating opportunities for difficult experiences to be processed and integrated and for new ways of being to emerge.

Daniela works with individuals and couples experiencing relationship difficulties, sexuality-related challenges, complex trauma, anxiety, attachment wounds, nervous-system dysregulation, PTSD, body-image concerns, shame and emotional overwhelm. Her approach is particularly suited to people who feel stuck, disconnected or ready for a more embodied way of working. She also supports people to explore desire, shutdown, boundaries, relational dynamics and the ways trauma, attachment and past experiences can shape intimacy and access to pleasure.

Known for her warm, grounded and deeply present approach, Daniela’s work is culturally sensitive, neuro-affirming, gender-inclusive and sex-positive. She offers a therapeutic space where clients can slow down, reconnect and discover new ways of relating to their inner world, their bodies and the people around them.

Our practitioners are LGBTQIA+ inclusive and welcome individuals and couples across all stages of life.

Massage services are for women only.

What is a Somatic Sexologist?

A Sexologist is somebody who has studied the science of sex; learning the anatomy, physiology, psychology, and cultural influences around sex, arousal, desire and pleasure.

Somatics is any practice that develops and strengthens the mind-body connection. Somatic practices teach you how to mindfully scan and listen to your body.

Somatic sexology brings these together to help people get out of their heads and into their bodies for better sex. Meet the team here to see a full list of their qualifications and experience.

Why do you care about sexual wellness?

Sexual wellness isn’t the only thing we do, but it’s an important part of the equation. This is because it’s so regularly left out of the health and wellness conversation.

Sadly, we still live in a conservative society where sexual shame and body shame is pervasive and very few people get access to quality sex education or sexual wellness services.

This leads to a society with high rates of loneliness, sexual dissatisfaction, disembodiment, divorce, sexual violence, trauma, and sexual abuse.

Quality sexual wellness and sex & relationship education makes happier, healthier and safer people – this is one way we can help make the world a better place.

Do you work with people online and in person?

Yes!

Sessions are available online or in person at our Sydney clinic, depending on the practitioner and appointment time.

You're welcome to discuss the approach that works best for you when booking a session with the Bedrock team.

Are you open to media opportunities?

Yes!

Our founder and somatic sexologist, Alice Child, speaks and writes on sex, intimacy and relationships, with extensive media experience across podcasts, radio, tv, print, speaking engagements, course creation and university sex education. See her media experience here.

For enquiries, get in touch via our contact page.

Are there career opportunities with Bedrock?

Yes.  Bedrock is a growing clinic, and new opportunities regularly arise.

We welcome enquiries for roles and internships. We're always keen to hear from experienced, sex-positive, trauma-informed practitioners, including sexologists, therapists, counsellors, pelvic health specialists, bodyworkers and allied health professionals.
