Daniela Cristofaro

Somatic Psychotherapist, Somatic Sexologist and Trauma Therapist

Daniela Cristofaro (she/her) is a Somatic Psychotherapist, Sexologist and Trauma Therapist. She holds a Master of Counselling, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology, a Certificate in Sexological Bodywork, and is trained in Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy and Somatic Sexology.

Daniela’s work is grounded in the understanding that many emotional struggles, relationship patterns and ways of coping are adaptations to our life experiences. Through mindful, body-centred psychotherapy, she helps clients gently explore the deeper beliefs and embodied patterns shaping their reactions, relationships and sense of self. Rather than viewing protective responses as something wrong, Daniela approaches them with curiosity and compassion. She supports clients to develop greater safety, regulation, self-understanding and choice, creating opportunities for difficult experiences to be processed and integrated and for new ways of being to emerge.

Daniela works with individuals and couples experiencing relationship difficulties, sexuality-related challenges, complex trauma, anxiety, attachment wounds, nervous-system dysregulation, PTSD, body-image concerns, shame and emotional overwhelm. Her approach is particularly suited to people who feel stuck, disconnected or ready for a more embodied way of working. She also supports people to explore desire, shutdown, boundaries, relational dynamics and the ways trauma, attachment and past experiences can shape intimacy and access to pleasure.

Known for her warm, grounded and deeply present approach, Daniela’s work is culturally sensitive, neuro-affirming, gender-inclusive and sex-positive. She offers a therapeutic space where clients can slow down, reconnect and discover new ways of relating to their inner world, their bodies and the people around them.
